Courses

This section is all about the ideal courses for New Bloggers

If you aim to create a profitable blog, it’s normal to be on the lookout for good courses that can help you reach that target.

One of your goals as a new blogger is to get your blog out there. Because if you’re not sharing and promoting your content out there the same way as everyone else, no one is going to find it. That’s why you may want to focus on courses that could help you promote your blog effectively.

I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the first to mention Pinterest as an important medium for promoting blogs, and I know I won’t be the last.

Pinterest will be the blog traffic goldmine for all new bloggers in the following niches:

  • Lifestyle
  • Fashion
  • Beauty
  • Food & Drinks
  • Travel
  • Finance
  • Parenting
  • Home Decor
  • Gardening
  • Tips & Round-up Posts

If your Blog happens to fall into any of the above categories, then Pinterest should be one of your main focuses. However, it can only succeed when done correctly. This brings me to my first highly recommended course. Pinteresting Strategies.

Pinteresting Strategies by Carly Campbell – $97

I have taken several Pinterest Courses, both free and paid, but Carly’s Pinteresting Strategies Course has to be on top of my list. Not only does this course teaches you how Pinterest works, but it also gives you in-depth information on how the Pinterest algorithm works. Carly did an amazing job in providing a step-by-step guide on how to succeed on Pinterest!

There is no wonder Pinteresting Strategies by Carly Campbell became one of the most popular courses for bloggers. I heard that the price is going to increase this fall, for this reason, you shouldn’t wait!

Update: Carly’s Pinteresting Strategies is now Pintersting Strategies 2.0, and it’s juicier than ever! I know it used to be $57 and known to be one of the best reasonable courses out there. However, I’m going to be completely honest with you, with $97, it’s worth every single penny.

More sections are added to the course, including updates for the 2021 Pinterest algorithm.

In addition, the following sections were sold separately.

  • Pinterest Title Traffic Hacks for Bloggers (Value $27)
  • Pin Design Rules to Start Breaking (Value $27)
  • Pinterest Niche Site Deep Dive {Case Study + Training} (Value $37)

So, all of these with the Original Pinteresting Strategies and more are now inside in the new Pinteresting Strategies 2.0

That is to say, Carly covered every inch of Pinterest inside out and in every corner. After getting Pinterest Strategies 2.0, you don’t need any other Pinterest Course, for it is more than enough and can be a bit overwhelming, so you need to take it slow.

The Bottom line is this course will forever be one of the best Pinterest courses out there, and I’ll continue to owe my Pinterest success to it.

Refer to the image below for my results!

Pinteresting Strategies Results (Pinterest Analytics)

After implementing Pinteresting Strategies, I knew what exactly I was doing. I learned the precise tricks I needed to see success on my Pinterest journey. You also need to know that it’ll take some time (around 8 months) for newer accounts to see tractions! Maybe, for older accounts, it won’t need that much time, but for a brand new account, it really would need some time. I had a Brand new account (started March 2021), and I’m glad I learned Pinteresting Strategies early in my blogging journey.

I loved the fact it was quite cheap at the beginning, but the increase in price was not a shock to me, for it was THAT good, and in all honesty, it’s not too expensive compared to other Pinterest courses!

A lot of Pinterest Courses range from $190 to $290; Carly’s course costs $97. If you are looking forward to growing your Pinterest account, it’s definitely worth the investment!

SEO and Traffic

I cannot stress the importance of SEO enough, and I also understand why it can be a nightmare for every New Blogger.

We have to admit, as a new blogger: you want to shine, you want to show the world your work, entertain them, teach them something, to present an alternative viewpoint. However, no matter what kind of post you’re writing about, you need it to get out there. You need to pull traffic from Google and other search engines.

That is where SEO comes into play. You need to create a Search Engine Optimized post to be found and thus increase traffic. You will hear a lot about choosing the right keywords and sprinkling the right about throughout the article.

On the other hand, there is much more to SEO than just adding keywords to your article, it also includes Backlinks, Pagespeed, User Experience, and so forth. This can be somewhat overwhelming to new bloggers. With that said, SEO is a long game. For this reason, it shouldn’t be skipped by New Bloggers. Here are some SEO courses to consider.

Super Simple SEO By Cousett Hoover – $90

If you want to understand everything SEO, from On-Page SEO to Off-Page, and the technical aspect of SEO, Super Simple SEO by Cousett Hoover, will give you all this and more.

Cousett dived deep into Google’s key ranking factors, such as search intent, site authority, mobile friendliness, and much more.

It’s great to write epic posts and cover all the necessary details in your article, but at the end of the day, your overall performance with Google’s ranking factors will determine your position on SERP (Search Engine Result Pages).

Cousett covers all of Google’s Ten Key Ranking Factors in her course, which is an eye-opener for new bloggers.

It might get a bit overwhelming, but it’s something you’ll be needing for the long run.

Cousett Hoover did an amazing job explaining everything SEO-related. I love the way she breaks down each topic on SEO, making sure it’s explained thoroughly. I highly recommend Super Simple SEO if you are fairly unfamiliar with SEO.

Easy On-page SEO By Debbie Gartner – $47

This course has lived up to its reputation. It is one of the most popular SEO e-books for a reason. I cannot recommend it enough, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the first to do so.

I mean, the e-book is designed perfectly for new bloggers. I wished I got this e-book early enough in my blogging journey, but it’s never too late. Oh well, and better late than never!

I have applied her technique to one of my old unoptimized articles, and the results are mind-blowing.

The above image is just a result of one single article after applying Debbie’s On-page SEO techniques. I was surprised by the outcome in such a short period.

The best part is, I love how it’s straightforward, easy, and direct to the point. Debbie lays out a 12 step action plan to do before you hit publish.

I find this super helpful because you can always come back to refresh your memory. Debbie also gives you an outline to ensure your blog post is SEEN by Google.

I have seen many Successful Bloggers apply her tricks and techniques, and every time I see it, I go a-ha!

I highly recommend this course for new bloggers.

Debbie Gartner is very successful with her blog and She has coached over 100 bloggers on SEO, so she basically knows what she’s talking about! I recommend learning more about it and not postponing SEO.

Debbie did her best to cover everything SEO and help boost your blog at a reasonable price. However, Easy On-page SEO does not cover Keyword Research. And as we all know, Keyword can be very important to get your blog out there.

Allow me to introduce you to the next course: Get Your Keyword Together. The Peanut butter to your Easy On-Page SEO Jello!

Get Your Keywords Together: How To Do Keyword Research Using Only Free Tools By Trinity Owen – $47

Just as the title says, get your keywords together using free tools, and the combination of this e-book with Debbie’s e-book is a match made in heaven.

All that Trinity focuses on is helping you find the right keyword for your blog post while using only free tools, such as Google itself. So it’s basically 90 pages of finding the best keywords to rank.

Trinity taught me that there is more to keyword research than just seeing what pops out of a keyword research tool, and I’m forever grateful for that knowledge.

As soon as you know your keywords and implement Debbie’s Easy on-Page SEO steps and techniques, you’re good to go and on the right track to blogging!

Trinity’s course is ideal for new bloggers. When it comes to blogging resources, this course is a must-have. It’s worth checking out!

I know SEO can be very overwhelming for new bloggers. However, I continue to advise taking courses to understand SEO from the very beginning.

With that said, you can still familiarise yourself with free SEO resources to check out if it’s something you will need a course for.

Margaret Bourne has a post on SEO Tips for Beginner Bloggers Here. It’ll give you clarity on how to rank in searches!

If you’re relatively new to SEO, the free guide to search engine optimization in 2021 from Backlinko will also be a good place to start. It will give you a good overview of the most important SEO trends in 2021, as well as some useful insights and tips you can use to improve your SEO. You can check it out for free here.

Boosting Your Blog Traffic by Ana Skyes – $25

I love this E-book so much! It’s perfectly designed and created for new bloggers; this is a blogging resource all new bloggers will need!

Ana touches down on multiple topics to get your blog out there, and this precisely is what you’ll need as a new blogger. Ana’s E-book will help new bloggers be seen early on in the game and succeed in the long run.

And her bonuses are beyond comparison to other courses and E-books; I mean, you’ll get a checklist for 100 ways to promote your blog as well as 100 Facebook Groups for bloggers to promote their work!

My all-time favorite is the access to her resource library; as a new blogger, I felt like a child in a Candy store. From freebies to free courses, resources & tools, her library is perfect for all new bloggers.

It’s normal for new bloggers to feel like they’re only talking to themselves or feel stuck. For this reason, Boosting Your Blog Traffic can be so refreshing and resourceful for new bloggers.

Templates All New Bloggers Must Have

Here I’ll keep adding some of the best Templates new bloggers will need. The first one is crucial!

Legal Bundle for your Website by Amira Law

I knew all websites should have these boring legal pages to protect ourselves, but I didn’t realize the free versions weren’t enough!

Protecting yourself and your website is crucial at the beginning of your blogging journey.

I cannot stress the importance of these Bundles enough. They are everything and more, and Amira did a phenomenal job providing us with all the legal protection we need at a reasonable price.

I got the starter Legal Bundle, and I loved how easy it was to set up in your blog. The starter Bundle includes:

  • GDPR & CCPA Compliant Privacy Policy Template.
  • Disclaimer Template

It’s everything that new bloggers will need and more!

The Best Tools All New Bloggers will Need

I highly recommend the following tools for both established bloggers and new bloggers alike. And as a new blogger, it is always great to start with the right tools early on in the game.

Tailwind

There seems to be an ongoing debate in the blogging community about if manual pinning performs better than scheduled pinning. Well, I’m here to destroy the myth and say that’s not true.

However, it is important to understand Pinterest before attempting to use a scheduling tool.

You cannot just insert pins into a scheduling tool and expect it to do magic for you. That’s not the way it works. For this reason, you need Pinteresting Strategies to understand the technique of pinning strategically and then implement it on a scheduler. Familiarise yourself with Pinterest and have a Foundation for a Pinterest profile before using automation.

The Bottom line is scheduling pins will not affect your pin performance in any way whatsoever. It is just a scheduler to help you save time and focus on other essential tasks, such as creating blog posts!

With all that said, let’s talk about the best scheduling tool out there. Tailwind

Tailwind is an awesome scheduling tool, and the best part is that it’s an official Pinterest partner, so you can rest assured knowing your account is safe!

Not only does Tailwind help you with scheduling your pins, but it also comes with this amazing ‘Tailwind Tribe’ feature. This feature will give new bloggers the chance to join others in the same niche and get discovered much faster. The sort of boost every new blogger will need.

Use my link to get $15 worth of credit for one month. It’s definitely worth checking out to grow your Pinterest account.

Grammarly

I love this tool so much, and I am only using the Free Version! What I love about Grammarly is that it makes writing super easy and fun. As new bloggers, we have to concentrate on creating a lot of content but also quality content. For this reason, Grammarly will help make sure our grammar is on point, thus creating a better reading experience for our readers.

Simply put, you won’t find an easier or better way to correct your grammar.

There is no reason not to download Grammarly for Free; you can download it as an App or as a plugin to correct emails and social media posts as well!

Canva

Here’s a tool that will make every blogger and creator’s life much easier! I really like this tool, and that’s because it gives you a quick and efficient way to create tons of designs for various platforms.

As a new Blogger, you would want your blog to look professional. Canva can help you create high-quality infographics, logos, thumbnails, high-quality pins, and much more. No design background is needed!

Try Canva for Free now. I personally still use the Free version and it’s awesome! I can’t recommend this tool enough.

Update: I got the pro version, and I’m obsessed! I wished I had it sooner, for it’s astounding! More templates & designs with endless stock images, I love it twice as much!

Nevertheless, you could always try the free version first to see if it’s something you will regularly need and worth upgrading. The free version isn’t a 1-month trial, but free forever!

Pin Inspector

If Pinterest is a platform you want to succeed on, then this tool is for you. I mentioned how essential Keywords for Pinterest are and publishing pins the right way. Well, the Pin inspector will help you generate a popular keyword, analyze popular pins & boards, and more.

It also comes with many bonuses to boost your Pinterest accounts, such as templates, Pinterest SEO, and more.

I love the fact that it’s a one-time payment with free updates for life! I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to take Pinterest seriously and succeed in the long run.

Ryter

Yep, many bloggers are switching to AI software for writing assistance. I, personally, am not a huge fan of AI writing, but it can be super handy when it comes to creating content fast.

As new bloggers, we are keen to create as many blogs as possible. I mean, it’s simple, more blogs = more exposure. But, sometimes we don’t have enough time.

I love Ryter because it helps you create blog sections fast. Yes, Ryter is not perfect for long-form posts, but it does help in creating chunks which I find ideal for sketching intros, product descriptions, or Meta descriptions.

You can Try Ryter for Free now, you will have 5000 characters per month and access to 30+languages. Say goodbye to getting stuck and staring at a blank screen!

Affiliate Marketing

We all want to monetize our blog at one point, and affiliate marketing can be one of the best and most powerful ways to monetize. Yes, Amazon may have a high conversion rate due to its popularity, but I believe no new bloggers should overlook ShareASale.

ShareASale has many companies and sponsors to work with, and the commission rate can be very high. You can find companies in almost every niche, from products such as books, clothes, electronics, and games to services such as Travel, Insurance, or web hosting! The options and possibilities are endless.

Join ShareASale now, as it will give you limitless opportunities to maximize your profit.

Join a Blogging Community

Joining a blogging community can be very essential for new bloggers. We can learn from other bloggers’ experiences, help each other out, and thus build our blog even faster.

There are tons of Facebook Groups for Bloggers, but I highly recommend the following:

Becoming a Blogger by Cate Rosales – Becoming a blogger is one of the biggest blogging groups on Facebook. You don’t need to purchase or subscribe to anything when joining this group. Cate from sweetandsimplelife.com made sure all bloggers are welcome to join, learn and grow! For this reason, you will find bloggers from all walks of life sharing their journies and experiences in this group. In addition to this Cate will sometimes share crazy tips and hacks, which new bloggers can find extremely helpful. I highly recommend joining this blogging group on Facebook.

Blogging Like We Mean It by Carly Campbell – Here is another awesome group by the one and only Carly, which will allow bloggers to grow and thrive within the group. In other words, who wouldn’t want to join a group with the Pinterest Guru herself? Carly is quite active in the group and will therefore give you exclusive tips and feedback!

I’ve mentioned how Backlinks can be important for SEO; well, here are some Facebook groups which could give you free Backlinks!

In the following Groups, there will be several bloggers who write round-up posts for clients or blogs.

Therefore, they are looking for topics to include in their round-up posts. As a result, you will get a do-follow backlink once their Article is published. Isn’t that great!

Free Images

As new Bloggers, we tend to depend on free resources. That’s completely fine, for it’s smarter to invest in valuable courses or tools. You can still buy Stock images if you prefer them over free images, but the following Free Stock images are so beautiful it’s hard to believe that they are free.

However, if you decided to use free images for your blog or pins, just remember to create an account on any of the following websites. In this case, you can always prove you got the images from the following websites.
